 NO SHIPPING!

Our ready to lay pullets will be 18 weeks old on scheduled pick up day.  WE DO NOT SHIP THESE BIRDS EVER! They should begin to lay with 3 to 6 weeks of getting them home and settled.  Golden comets are known to mature faster, lay more and eat less, perfect for the backyard, pasture poultry operations and everything in between.  All our girls are Fully VACCINATED.  Vaccinated for Mareks, Rispen and Infectious Bursal disease.   They are also tested for avian influenza and salmonella enteritidis. Our goal is to provide healthy productive layers for our customers, no matter if you are interested in one or four hundred.

Our 18 week old birds are a good option for people who do not want to go through the brooder process. This allows you to get the birds right before their peak production cycle. We also have a lot of customers who like to buy hens at this age during the fall. This increases the odds that your hens will lay through the winter season.

*KEEP IN MIND WE DO NOT CONTROL HENS, SOME MAY TAKE LONGER TO LAY THAN THEY WOULD IN OUR CARE.  THEY WILL START LAYING THOUGH!!!  IF YOU FEEL THEY ARE NOT LAYING WHEN THEY SHOULD, WE WILL BE HAPPY TO GIVE SOME TIPS OR POINTERS OF SOME THINGS YOU COULD TRY DIFFERENTLY.
Full payments guarantee you will have birds ready and waiting on you, and that you will also pick them up. Payment is not required to reserve but does guarantee you get birds. If you'd like to be put on the list without a deposit or full payment please give us a call.. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON REFUNDABLE.

  WHEN TO PICK UP

Ready to Lay Pullets are to be picked up on the order date between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. So if you have an order placed for the March 6th batch, you will need to plan to be at the pick up location on March 6th during the scheduled pick up time. If there is a conflict with this time frame, you will need to call Chris before you place the order so other arrangements can be made.

WHAT TO BRING

You will need to bring a tote, dog crate or cardboard box to transport your hens. We will have boxes on hand, they are $2.50 per box and hold 5 to 6 hens. If you know you will need a box for pickup please let us know at your earliest convenience, so we can make sure we have them available.
